Crazy training miles in the bank and the search for sun. (2)

rain_in_ForrestVictoria has not been the best of places to get a good ride in of late.

August was tough, cold, wet and apparently record breaking rain in years was recorded.

My relationship with my indoor trainer was becoming very testing, but

at least there was an indoor option.

Sensational hills, amazing scenery and some massive miles. 6 days of this and then I was home for 1 day.
Pack roadie and then off to Byron.

road_rides_byronByron Bay training with Phil, Dyon, Katie and Simon for 5 days & 5 nights.
Not much in the way of pure elevation, but our ride on Wednesday equalled nearly 3000mts elevation gained from the amazing lumpy bumpy volcanic hills that wind their way around the country side.

Its Friday today and I am taking the day off for a massage, mid day nap and perhaps a swim!

I am looking forward to getting back home and hanging out with Norm and Saskia too.
Last week Saskia had her netball grand final and they won and tomorrow Norm has his last game to watch as the Colac Umpires coach…so a new era is about to begin…all we are waiting for now is the 2010 World Solo 24hr Champs in October and then its time to plan some down time, family time, chill time…soak up the journey that was and live in the moment for a few weeks. No plans, no destiny, no goals, no cares other than being.

3 weeks and I will be really into the last minute preparation for the World 24hr Solo Champs in Canberra and saying happy 40th birthday to Normie Boy. Fill you in soon with the rest of the goss.
