The Ingkerreke Commercial MTB Enduro - Alice Springs

07 June 2011

Its always better later than never...and with the cold weather we have here today in Forrest, my mind cant help but return to the warmer times of the Ingkerreke Commercial MTB Enduro in Alice Springs.

Claire Stevens and I arrived in Alice Springs on Sunday 15th May and whilst it was not hot, it was not cold either, the sun was shining and we were no longer in Melbourne - its time for holidays!

In a whirlwind of paragraphs in this blog the races were fun, the trails amazing, the terrain unique, the views and panoramas magic, the company rejuvenating and winning the event was just a pure bonus.

So much so that a whole bunch of us have agreed in a ladies agreement that we will be back for more.

Arriving a few days earlier to ease our bikes and bodies into the technical terrain and then staying on a few days later to enjoy some other sites via foot.

With 7 races over 5 days, amazing race support, logistics of racing in Alice Springs were easy as. The hardest thing to schedule in the day was going to bed at night!

A rough estimate of $500 airfares, $500 race entry, $500 accom, $300 food...lets round it off to $2000 all inclusive racing holiday for 7 nights it was great value for money.
