Thank You to all who have helped me.Time to update the Thank you section! A new year, 2008. I started this website pretty much January 2007 when I was on the same annual leave. This last year has been amazing and I have met some amazing people. Christy Harris - my female Pairs enduro racing partner! Top chick who is keen to give it all on race day and is a great person to have around. A giggle here and a giggle there, who would guess she is one tough nut on the bike. Keep up the good work and look after that new man of yours, Dazza, he is NOIYCE! Ross Kroger - a pain in the arse to train with as he makes me work very hard to constantly chase him. But apart from that he is a very passionate advocate for participation in mountain biking and a great friend to have. thanks so much for all your help and advice. You were an awesome manager of Norm and I at the Subaru Melbourne 12 hour and at all the other events you helped out with too. Logistics king, thinker of thinkers, analyst extroidanaire, an asset to anyones "friend wardrobe!" Kim and Michael Murphy - Top job, how did God put such wonderful people in front of me? What wouldnt you do for someone? I am blessed to have you in my life for many reasons. for the help you give freely, for the love you give freely, for the passion for life that you have. Oh and not to mention, my daughter Saskia, has met such a wonderful friend in your daughter Lauren. I am so pleased that you both love your new mountain bikes and have yet another avenue to keep your fitness up. Donna Rae-Szalinski - thank you for your continued guidance and support throughout the year with the ergo sessions and general nuturing of my passion for riding. I am sure you realise what a great role model you are to all of the people who call themselves your clients. John Price and Tamara Noggler - thanks guys for helping out at the Kona 24 hour. I love taking you at Bootcamp, you are both great value and love to give. I hope you had a good time and got to see me in my own style of Bootcamp. Chris Chalmers and Corrine Biscan(soon to be Chalmers) - thanks for keeping me on board taking classes and Bootcamp as I go into my next phase of my working life. I love what you do and I do believe we are all on the same wavelength when it comes to health and well being for life. You do an awesome job at exuding this to your clients and staff. Saskia my daughter, thank you for being patient and accepting of the demands of our racing schedule and well done to deciding to take up track cycling. Normie Norm - thanks again for pushing me to new limits and teaching me new skills. every ride I am scared of what I am going to learn today! But thank goodness I do get out there with you or I may not be where I am today. You also have a great faith in me...thats the scariest thing! Rob Eva - Thanks for your generosity and kind spirit in helping me reach new goals. SRAM goodies are awesome and I know will make my life easier on the bike. I hope that I continue to do the name proud in every race that I do. Snozza and JO - Full Gas Promos - Thanks for putting on awesome events. I will continue to attend as many as I can. You guys are great as are your volunteers. Lorenzo Moro - Torquay Cycling Factory, thanks for having some faith in me as a person and then as a cyclist. You are a true gentleman with a heart of gold. You would give your house away if you could! Keep up the good work, your business will prosper! God almighty - thank you God for continuing to show me the way and have faith in me whilst I struggle daily with my faith in you. Every day you show me how much you care and want good for me. I often forget that when you bless me it is so I can bless others. I pray that I you remind me to be humble and aspire to be more like Jesus and not be afraid of sacrifice. With giving comes blessing. Thank you to my parents who have looked after my daughter numerous occasions whilst I have attended races or camped overnight or gone interstate. Without this help, Saskia would be coming along with us and I am sure it is really not her scene. Thanks for making her comfortable while we are away. Thank you also to my parents for agreeing to be mine and Norm's support crew at Kona 24 hour in December 2006. I know even though you were sleep deprived, toilet deprived(there was limited facilites in the solo area and they had to walk a fair way to use some decent toilets), food deprived and very cold, you still enjoyed the experience. Mum, I thank you for the sandwiches you made me and the fruit you cut up and the face washer to clean my face. Without these, what may seem small to you, bits of assistance, I would not have stayed so steady in my mental and physical outlook throughout the race. Tony, thanks for making sure my bike was clean and lubed and in working order. This was maybe more important than anything else on the day. For without a working bike, no amount of food or drink would help. And most of all thank you for believing in me. The knowledge that you care enough about me to freeze in the middle of the night on a farm property while I ride my bike around for 24 hours is extremely comforting and leaves me with a warm fuzzy feeling! Thanks to Sally Ellis, she is the woman. The rod of steel! Sally is a logistical "fairy tale". If something needs doing or organising, Sally can do it and do it well. Sally was the team leader at the Kona 24 hour. She recorded our lap times and our E.T.A's. She was the hydration police too. If we came back in with too much drink left in our bottles she would warn us that we should finish it, and "don't come in on your next lap with that much left or you will be in trouble!" Sally also waited with me while I had my long shower and kept me company in the middle of the night when I wanted to go for a walk to grab a coffee in between a lap. Sally is also an avid cyclist, so I will be sad, however understanding, when she wants to particpate as a rider in the Kona 24 hour next year. Your shoes will be hard to fill! Thanks to Tri2Cycle in Ryrie Street, Geelong. Fitzy has always looked after me since I first walked in there to buy a Scott Reflex 20. Since then, I have bought many things(even if I did not really NEED it) and it is only on the rare occasion do I have to visit another store for bike related purchases. I hope I have never been too much of a hassle as a customer?! I look forward to becoming your BEST EVER CUSTOMER! If you are in Geelong, dont forget to go and see the shop and ask for FITZY! Thanks to Rohan Cameron and Simone Bate who were two of the first people back in December 2005 to accompany me back into the land of the living. TRANSLATION: December 2005 we went on a sensational "first time in 12 years" mtb ride and they were the ones who helped organise it. Thank you to my dear husband who has nurtured my inner passion for cycling in all forms. Sometimes I do wish you would just let me be...and there is no doubt that I love riding by myself or with other people...however, when you and I head out on our epic rides or a training ride at the You Yang's for example, we have so much fun. Oh, and I love our coffee jaunts to Torquay for an easy 50-60km on the road bike. You have been blessed in recent years with your late brothers bike handling skills and mechanical knowledge. Whilst it is comforting to know that he passed on while racing his MTB, doing something he loved, I know you still suffer from his loss daily. Just remember, let him live through you...and dont forget to do up his old bmx and race it you old fart! And most of all, I am so very lucky to have a partner to share my love of riding with. I look forward to our 60's when we are still riding, hip replacements and all!...oh and travelling the National XC circuit in our Winnebago too of course, racing in the SUPER Masters category. Thanks to all the passionate trail builders. You are pioneers and "movers and shakers". How lucky are we to be able to ride in so many parts of the country and world on specific mountain bike trails that were designed with pure heaven in mind. One day when I am semi retired, I hope I can give back and get involved with trail building and maintenance. Thanks to all the clubs and promotional companies that spend lots of unpaid time and effort to organise sensational events to race in. Keep up the great work and I hope you have great rewards for your passion and dedication.
