Victorian Cross Country Summer Series Championships

Wow, if ever there was a day where I really hated the first lap, this was it!The field of Elite women was around 8 or 9 I think. Pretty good turn out. On offer was the temptation to enter Veteran Women, however, with only 3 laps to achieve and no one to race against, there was no way I was doing that. So instead, I succumbed to 5 laps of hell with a bunch of women who were going to whip my butt! I am sure you will agree though, a great opportunity for some very good training!

Big Hill Marathon at Wandong (near Kilmore).

Up at 6am, feeling well rested due to the change in daylight savings time and the glass of red wine I had last night. We left home at 6:45am and headed our way north for the 90km Big Hill Marathon. Norm and I love the Marathon events and did not train for this at all; with all the racing and road riding we have been doing we trusted that all would be good.
