QUEENS BIRTHDAY – MONDAY 11^TH June 2007

Weather – almost snowing!  Slight SW.  Very COLD!

Having the Monday off called for a compulsory bike ride, no matter what the day brought.

So I organised a ride with Sebastian and Kirstin.  Initially we were going to head through Deans Marsh up and over Benwerrin to Lorne and back along the Great Ocean Road…but things don’t always go to plan…

Sunday 18^th March 2007

State Series XC at Ballarat.  As we were driving there, with no Melways, but our Blackberry with Google Maps, we got lost AGAIN.  This is the 2^nd time we have been to Nerrina, just out of Ballarat, and here we were again, not knowing where to go.  Norm was getting very angry and I was calm and knowing we would get there.

Finally, we worked it out and arrived safely.

After the disappointment of not “switching “ on last week for the mtb race, I was determined to get angry and not be a social butterfly, well not TOO much.  Geelong Cycling Club had their final summer series road race at Paraparap.  Norm and I entered C grade and this was to be my 3^rd road race since starting on 30^th December 2006.
